2. Hosting and access data

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Technical access data may include the requested page, time, referrer, browser, operating system, device type and IP address. According to IONOS, IP addresses in webhosting logs are anonymised and visitor data is retained for eight weeks. Processing is necessary to provide a secure and stable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is concluded where required.

3. IONOS WebAnalytics

We use IONOS WebAnalytics to analyse visits and improve our website. Data includes requested pages, referrers, access times, browsers, operating systems, device types and anonymised IP addresses. According to IONOS, WebAnalytics does not use cookies and IP addresses are anonymised immediately after transmission. Processing is based on legitimate interests in measuring and improving our website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), insofar as no separate statutory consent requirement applies to a specific method.

4. Contact and room enquiries

When you contact us by form, email or telephone, we process your details, including your name, email address, optional telephone number, travel dates and message, to respond and prepare or administer bookings (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). WordPress sends form enquiries to the guesthouse by email using configured IONOS mail delivery and WP Mail SMTP. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. We delete information when it is no longer needed, unless legal retention requirements, including business correspondence rules, apply.

5. Guestbook

For guestbook submissions, we process your name, email address, comment and technical WordPress comment data, particularly your IP address and browser identifier. Moderation and abuse prevention are based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We publish your name and comment only after your express consent and editorial approval (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Your email address is not published. You may withdraw consent for future publication using the contact details above.

6. Google reviews and external links

Our site links to the guesthouse’s Google profile and Google Maps. This privacy-friendly theme version does not embed an external Google reviews widget. Google may process your personal data only after you choose to open its external website, according to its own privacy notice. Other external websites are likewise opened only after you click a link.

7. WhatsApp

Our WhatsApp enquiry option opens an external link with a prepared message. No message is sent automatically; you choose whether to send it. WhatsApp Ireland Limited may process personal data as soon as you open WhatsApp. This option is voluntary; you can contact us by email or phone instead.

8. Cookies and technical functions

WordPress may use technically necessary cookies, especially for logged-in users. Guestbook and installed extensions may perform additional technical processing. According to the provider, IONOS WebAnalytics uses no cookies. Non-essential external content or tracking must not be enabled without any consent required by law.

9. Your rights

Subject to statutory requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection (Article 21). You may withdraw consent with future effect. Contact us using the details above or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the Data Protection Commissioner of Saxony-Anhalt.
